About Blue Fizz Club
Blue Fizz Club is a small set of free calculators for fizzy drinks made at home: how much CO2 pressure a drink needs, how to mix a soda syrup, how much sugar goes into a kombucha second fermentation, how to scale a ginger beer, what a sparkling water maker really costs, and how to plan alcohol-free drinks for a party. Every tool shows millilitres and fluid ounces, grams and ounces, °C and °F, and psi and bar side by side.
How it works
Each calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server, and the tools keep working once a page has loaded, even offline. There are no accounts and no sign-ups.
Where the numbers come from
Each page ends with its sources, chosen from official bodies, universities and published data where we could find them: the NIST Chemistry WebBook and a University of Florida extension guide for carbonation, USDA FoodData Central for sugar contents, University of California and Colorado State University guidance on kombucha, the US TTB and the UK Department of Health and Social Care on alcohol, and the NHS, WHO and US Dietary Guidelines on sugar. Where a figure is a maker's claim, such as the litres a CO2 cylinder makes, the page says so and lets you enter your own. Where we found no reliable figure, such as how many days a ginger bug takes, we say that rather than guess. Time-bound facts carry the date they were checked.
Not advice
The site gives general information, not medical, dietary or legal advice. Fermented drinks and pressurised bottles carry real risks; the calculators show the pressure and alcohol they can produce so you can make sensible choices, but your bottles, cultures and kitchen differ from any model. If someone feels unwell after a home-made drink, contact a doctor or, in the US, Poison Control on 1-800-222-1222.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking and never receives what you type into the tools. See the privacy page for everything that is stored.
